Tim Svidnytskiy

Head Coach, Épée

Tim was born into fencing, since his father was an épée coach for the Ukrainian Women’s Cadet National Team.

As a child, Tim competed at numerous national and international competitions all over Europe, including once winning the title of Ukrainian National Champion.

In University, Tim was a dual varsity student-athlete, competing in both fencing and basketball. He began his coaching career as an assistant Fencing coach at both Brock University and University of Western Ontario. Since then, he has been coaching at Toronto Fencing Club. His students have enjoyed success as:  medallists at various national tournaments, National Team members, and participants of Pan American Games and Championships.

As an educator and a coach, Tim dedicates strong efforts towards meeting students where they are now and ensuring every individual student has the opportunity to realize their full potential as both a learner and as an athlete.
